Irresistibly crispy, golden, and garlic French fries. Double up for a crowd!
Ingredients:
  • 6 Yukon Gold potatoes, cut into thick fries
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.25 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a lined baking sheet by spraying it with cooking spray.
  • Place sliced potatoes in a colander and generously sprinkle sugar over them. Let sit for 20 to 30 minutes until the potatoes release liquid. Drain the liquid and pat the potatoes dry.
  • Toss potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a resealable bag until well coated. Arrange seasoned potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they have room to crisp up evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then flip fries and bake for an additional 20 minutes until crisp and golden brown.
