Indulge in irresistible homemade beef brisket jerky, marinated in a tantalizing blend of smoky, sweet, and savory flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds beef brisket
  • 1.5 cups thick teriyaki sauce
  • 0.75 cup soy sauce
  • 0.75 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 cup dark corn syrup (such as Karo®)
  • 0.25 cup liquid smoke flavoring
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Chill the beef brisket in the freezer for 1 hour to facilitate slicing.
  • Lay the brisket flat on a cutting board. Slice it thinly with the grain, aiming for 1/4-inch-thick strips.
  • In a large bowl, layer beef strips and generously coat with a mix of teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, corn syrup, liquid smoke, brown sugar, sesame seeds, garlic powder, honey, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until all beef is fully immersed. Seal with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours to marinate.
  • After removing the beef, gently pat it dry with paper towels. Arrange the beef in a single layer on the trays of a dehydrator machine. Cook at 155 degrees F (68 degrees C) for approximately 5 hours, or as per the manufacturer's instructions, until the beef is dry, firm, and slightly flexible.
  • Air dry the beef until it reaches desired level of dryness.
