Indulge in a decadent cheese dip featuring ground beef and sausage, perfect for parties or nachos. Slow cooking enhances the melding of flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound bulk spicy pork sausage
  • 0.5 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (2 pound) loaf processed cheese food (such as Velveeta®), cubed
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers (such as RO*TEL®)
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble sausage and ground beef with onion until meat is evenly browned and no longer pink, approximately 10 minutes. Drain excess grease and transfer mixture to a slow cooker.
  • Arrange cheese food cubes on top of the savory meat mixture for an irresistible finishing touch.
  • Puree diced tomatoes and green chile peppers in a blender until velvety. Drizzle the mixture over cheese cubes and condensed soup, then mix thoroughly and cover.
  • Cook on High, stirring occasionally until the cheese is smooth and melted, around 90 minutes.
