Indulgent chocolate cream cheese pound cake with rich, moist texture and deep cocoa flavor, elevated by espresso.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup hot coffee
  • 0.5 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 1.5 cups butter, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 large egg yolks, at room temperature
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a fluted tube pan, like a Bundt pan, with cooking spray.
  • Combine cocoa powder and hot coffee in a bowl, stirring until the cocoa is completely dissolved. Gradually whisk in milk to reach desired consistency and temperature.
  • Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl, mixing well.
  • Combine sugar, butter, and cream cheese in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, for about 5 minutes, resembling frosting. Add vanilla. Mix in eggs and egg yolks one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated. Fold in half of the flour mixture until just combined. Stir in cocoa-milk mixture, then gently fold in the rest of the flour mixture until fully blended. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 70 to 90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in several places comes out dry.
