Bake tasty chocolate cookies with whole grain oats and fiber-rich cereal for a wholesome treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup Fiber One™ original bran cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup white vanilla baking chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine butter, sugars, and eggs in a large bowl. In a separate small bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; add to the butter mixture. Stir in cereal, oats, and baking chips.
  • Spoon heaping tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for a perfect 9 minutes. Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then transfer from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Ensure they cool entirely before storing in an airtight container.
