Tangy orange glazed baked chicken wings with a sweet and spicy kick.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • 0.5 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 cup white sugar, or to taste
  • 7 tablespoons hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®), or to taste
  • 1.5 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 0.66666668653488 cup prepared yellow mustard
  • 3.75 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 orange, peel and pith removed, chopped
  • 2 pounds chicken wings and drummettes
Instructions:
  • In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine water, vinegar, sugar, hot pepper sauce, and crushed red pepper flakes and bring to a boil.
  • Combine yellow mustard and ketchup to create a flavorful sauce.
  • Add the orange into the sauce. Bring it back to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer until thickened, for 2 to 4 hours.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Place the chicken wings in a spacious baking dish.
  • Roast in the oven until the wings are golden brown and fully cooked, for about 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Coat the freshly baked wings in the luscious sauce before plating.
