Savory venison and pork sausage chili with cannellini beans, tomatoes, garlic, onion, and hot pepper sauce - sure to heat up any game day gathering.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound boneless venison steak, cubed
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • hot pepper sauce to taste
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can cannellini beans, drained
  • 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder, or to taste
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese for garnish
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the venison and sausage until no longer pink and evenly browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Drain any grease. Add onions and garlic, cook for about 3 minutes until aromatic. Drain and stir in tomato paste. Season with hot pepper sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Combine cannellini beans, tomatoes, and venison mixture in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 5 hours. Serve sprinkled with shredded Cheddar cheese.
