Infused vodka + homemade sour mix = uniquely refreshing cocktail.
Ingredients:
  • Pineapple-Basil Vodka
  • 11/2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
  • 1 (750-ml) bottle vodka
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, plus more forgarnish
  • DIY Sour Mix
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 8limes)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6lemons)
  • Additional
  • Ice
  • Club soda (optional)
  • Fresh pineapple wedges and fronds, for garnish
Instructions:
  • Prepare the pineapple-basil vodka by layering pineapple in a 1-quart jar and covering it with vodka. Allow it to infuse for 1 to 3 days. Then, add basil, cover, and let it infuse for 1 to 2 hours before straining. For the DIY sour mix, boil sugar and water in a saucepan until dissolved. Remove from heat, let it cool, then mix in lime juice and lemon juice. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to 1 week.
  • Combine the pineapple-basil vodka and homemade sour mix in a pitcher. Pour the mixture into rocks glasses over ice. Add club soda on top (if desired) and decorate with pineapple wedges, fronds, and extra basil.
