Turkey burgers with black beans are perfectly grilled with Japanese breadcrumbs, egg, and Parmesan for added flavor and structure.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup black beans, rinsed and slightly crushed
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 0.75 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup Japanese-style bread crumbs (panko)
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
Instructions:
  • Get your outdoor grill ready by preheating it to medium-high heat and giving the grate a light coating of oil.
  • Combine black beans, ground turkey, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, egg, and onion soup mix in a large bowl, using your hands to mix well. Form the mixture into 6 patties.
  • Grill until perfectly cooked, about 5 to 6 minutes per side, until the thermometer reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) when inserted in the middle.
