Upgrade traditional fudge with butterscotch and dark chocolate for a heavenly twist on a classic treat.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 splash vanilla extract
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 0.66666668653488 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 cups butterscotch chips
  • 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow cream
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt (such as Maldon®)
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 9-inch square baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a heavy saucepan over medium-low heat, melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract together, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  • In a separate saucepan, combine sugar, milk, and butter and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook until the mixture turns golden and slightly thickens, about 5 to 7 minutes. Carefully pour in cream, as it may hiss and splatter. Bring it back to a boil, then remove from heat and stir in butterscotch chips and marshmallow cream until smooth.
  • Drizzle the luscious butterscotch layer over the decadent chocolate in the pan, then sprinkle with a touch of sea salt. Let the fudge cool to perfection at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes, then chill in the refrigerator until delightfully firm, around 2 hours.
