Black Cherry Baked Apples

Ingredients:
  • 4 baking apples
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup dried cherries or raisins
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup diet black cherry soda
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Core apples from the stem end without cutting through the other end. Arrange apples in a 9” x 9” baking dish.
  • 1. Dust apples liberally with cinnamon both inside and out. 2. Fill each apple with a mix of cherries or raisins and walnuts. 3. Carefully pour a splash of soda into each apple, then pour the rest into the baking dish. 4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until apples are soft and tender.
