Decadent black magic chocolate cake made with dark roast coffee and buttermilk, resulting in a spongy, moist delight.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Prepare your cake pans by generously greasing and flouring them. You can also use a 9x13-inch dish if preferred.
  • In a large bowl, mix together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in coffee, buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until a thin batter forms.
  • Divide the mixture evenly among the greased pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the pans sit for 10 minutes before transferring the baked goods onto a wire rack to cool completely.
