Black-and-White Cake Mix Brownies

Impress guests with decadent chocolate brownies made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ cake mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 8 Oreo chocolate creme sandwich cookies, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously grease a 9-inch square pan with either shortening or cooking spray.
  • Combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs in a medium bowl until you have a smooth batter. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer on low speed to beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Mix in milk and vanilla. Frost the brownies and sprinkle with chopped cookies.
  • Place chocolate chips in a small microwavable bowl and microwave them uncovered on High for 30 to 45 seconds, stirring once, until they are softened and smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the frosting, then refrigerate for 30 minutes until set. Finally, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Enjoy!
