Impress your kids with fun block cake pops using Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ white cake mix and frosting, topped with colorful Betty Crocker® icing.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg whites called for on cake mix box
  • 1 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1 cup pink candy melts or coating wafers (6 oz), melted
  • 1 cup yellow candy melts or coating wafers (6 oz), melted
  • 1 cup blue candy melts or coating wafers (6 oz), melted
  • 6 teaspoons shortening
  • 42 paper lollipop sticks
  • Block of plastic foam
  • 1 pouch (7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Decorating Cookie Icing white icing
Instructions:
  • Prepare and bake the cake mix according to the instructions on the box for a 13x9-inch pan, using water, oil, and egg whites. Allow the cake to cool. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Crumble the cake into a large bowl and mix in the frosting thoroughly. Shape the mixture into 1-inch squares and place them on the cookie sheet. Freeze until firm, then store in the refrigerator.
  • - Divide the melted candy into 3 bowls and stir each with 2 teaspoons of shortening until smooth. - Dip the tips of 14 lollipop sticks about 1/2 inch into the melted pink candy and insert them into 14 cake squares, not more than halfway. Repeat the process with 14 sticks in yellow candy and 14 sticks in blue. - Place them on a cookie sheet and refrigerate for 20 minutes. - Take a few at a time from the refrigerator. - Dip each cake square into the corresponding melted candy, ensuring it's covered, then tap off the excess. - Stick the opposite end of the stick into a foam block and let them stand until set.
  • Pipe white icing onto each square to form blocks. Write the letters A, B, or C inside each block. Let it sit until the icing sets.
