Blue cheese adds tang and creaminess to beef burgers. Incorporate into patty for ultimate blue cheese burger.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef (16-20% fat)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (about 2 ounces) crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Combine ground beef, cheese, and seasonings: In a large bowl, gently mix together ground beef, mustard, garlic, onions, blue cheese, water, egg, salt, and pepper using your hands until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
  • Form the mixture into thick patties that are slightly larger than your bun and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes or until you are prepared to cook.
  • Prepare a hot grill: Oil grill grates using tongs and a paper towel dipped in vegetable oil. Ensure the grill is well oiled before placing the patties.
  • Season patties generously with salt and pepper, then grill them on a well-oiled grate for approximately 5 minutes on each side without flattening. If you don't have a grill, a grill pan, or cast iron pan will work equally well. Serve on buns with lettuce and mayo. Share your thoughts by leaving a star rating below!
