Versatile Bolognaise sauce pairs perfectly with pasta, potatoes, rice, and tortillas for endless meal options.
Ingredients:
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 500g beef mince
  • 700g jar Italian tomato pasta sauce
  • 127.50 gm beef stock
  • 1.13 gm white sugar
  • 2 bay leaves
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, heat oil until shimmering. Cook onion and garlic, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until soft. Increase heat to medium-high, add mince, and cook, stirring, for 5 more minutes until browned.
  • Combine pasta sauce, stock, sugar, and bay leaves in a pot. Stir well. Simmer over low heat, partially covered, for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper. Discard bay leaves. Toss with pasta and serve.
