Delicious braised beef with vegetables, perfect for a cozy winter meal with tasty leftovers.
Ingredients:
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 800g beef chuck steak, chopped
  • 510.00 gm beef stock
  • 69.38 gm tomato paste
  • Mashed potato, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 160C (140C fan-forced).
  • In an ovenproof casserole dish, heat oil over medium heat. Sauté onion, carrot, and celery covered for 10 minutes until softened. Remove vegetables from the dish. Increase heat to high and brown beef in batches for 2-3 minutes. Add back the vegetables, stock, tomato paste, season well, and bring to a boil.
  • Bake covered for 3 hours until beef reaches perfect tenderness. Enjoy with creamy mashed potatoes.
