Slow-roasted corned beef brisket infused with caramelized onions and garlic for irresistibly tender and juicy results.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (5 pound) flat-cut corned beef brisket
  • 1 tablespoon browning sauce (such as Kitchen Bouquet®), or as desired
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C) to get it nice and cozy for your dish.
  • Remove the flavoring packet from the corned beef and generously brush both sides of the brisket with browning sauce.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the brisket in vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides, about 5 to 8 minutes per side.
  • Set the brisket on a rack in a roasting pan, then layer onion and garlic slices over it before adding water to the pan. Seal the pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  • Roast in the oven until the meat is fork-tender, approximately 6 hours.
  • Enjoy while your dish is still warm!
