Braised swede and leek

Savory braised leeks and swede perfectly complement roasted lamb or pork.
Ingredients:
  • 255.00 gm chicken style liquid stock
  • 550g swede
  • 1 leek, trimmed, halved, washed, chopped
  • 20.00 ml chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced and bring stock to a boil in a saucepan over high heat.
  • Spread the swede and leek evenly in a 5.5cm-deep, 15cm x 25cm baking dish and pour in the stock. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes until swede is tender. Season with pepper, sprinkle with parsley, and serve.
