Try this quick and easy dish where breaded luncheon meat is fried to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 (12 ounce) can fully cooked luncheon meat (such as SPAM®), cut into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
Instructions:
  • Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) until shimmering and ready for frying.
  • Coat the luncheon meat slices in flour by gently pressing them and shaking off excess. Dip in beaten egg, press into bread crumbs, and gently toss to remove loose crumbs. Place breaded slices on a plate without stacking.
  • Fry a few slices of luncheon meat at a time until they are hot and golden brown, for about 3 to 5 minutes. Place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain before serving.
