Hearty breakfast casserole with sausage, eggs, and Cheddar cheese, perfect for mornings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 0.75 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices bread, cubed
  • 4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it.
  • Brown and crumble sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 7 to 9 minutes until no longer pink in the center. Remove excess grease.
  • Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl until smooth. Mix in 2 cups of milk, mustard powder, and salt until well combined while the sausage is cooking.
  • Arrange bread cubes in the dish, then top with sausage and Cheddar cheese. Pour the egg mixture over everything. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) when you're ready to bake.
  • Take the casserole out of the fridge and remove the cover. Combine condensed soup and remaining 1/2 cup of milk in a bowl, then pour over the casserole.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown and springy, approximately 1 1/2 hours.
