Festive treats that will make any pup's tail wag with joy!
Ingredients:
  • 3.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup shredded cooked turkey
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare your baking sheets by lightly greasing them or lining them with parchment paper.
  • Combine whole wheat flour and baking powder in a large bowl. Mix in cooked turkey and dried cranberries. Create a well in the center, add egg, olive oil, and 1/2 cup of chicken broth. Stir to form a soft dough. Add more broth, 1 tablespoon at a time, if needed for desired consistency.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured work surface and knead for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth. Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut out shapes using your favorite cookie cutters.
  • Bake the treats for 25 minutes until golden brown, then let them sit in the warm oven for another 30 minutes to crisp up. Store any extras in the fridge.
