Sweet and savory broccoli salad with red grapes, bacon, and sunflower seeds - a must-have for summer picnics!
Ingredients:
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 0.33333334326744 cup sunflower seed kernels
  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 cup seedless red grapes, halved
  • 0.33333334326744 cup diced red onion
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a spacious skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat until perfectly browned and crispy, turning occasionally, which should take around 10 minutes. Place cooked bacon on paper towels to drain. Crumble seven slices of bacon and combine with sunflower seeds in a resealable plastic bag, then set aside.
  • Incorporate the broccoli, grapes, and onion in a spacious bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and pepper and mix well. Crumble the remaining slice of bacon and gently fold it into the dressing.
  • Drizzle the dressing onto the broccoli mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to let the flavors meld. When ready to serve, sprinkle the bacon-sunflower seed mixture over the salad and mix thoroughly.
