Brown Sugar Chocolate Crackle Cookies

Crackled chocolate cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • Melt chocolate chips, then mix with brown sugar and vegetable oil. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in vanilla.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Incorporate the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture, then gently fold in the chopped walnuts. Refrigerate the dough for a few hours before baking.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease the baking sheets.
  • Spoon dough onto confectioners' sugar, coating well. Arrange cookies on baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10-12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on racks.
