Decadently rich recipe that always impresses and is worth indulging in.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 ounce) package brownie mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1 (14 ounce) package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate fudge topping
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) while generously greasing the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  • Combine brownie mix, 1 egg, and water in a small bowl. Spread the mixture into the greased pan and bake for 25 minutes.
  • In a sturdy saucepan, gently melt the caramels with evaporated milk over low heat. Stir frequently until the mixture becomes smooth. Set aside 1/3 cup of the caramel, then pour the rest over the freshly baked brownie crust.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour the mixture over the caramel.
  • Bake the cheesecake for 40 minutes. Allow it to chill in the pan until thoroughly cooled. Run a knife around the edge to loosen, then remove the pan rim. Warm up the reserved caramel mixture and pour over the cheesecake. Drizzle with the chocolate topping.
