Indulgent heart-shaped brownies with cheesecake swirl and chocolate frosting for Valentine's Day.
Ingredients:
  • 15 small heart-shaped baking molds
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 (19.8 ounce) package chocolate chunk brownie mix
  • 0.33333334326744 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfectly baked dish.
  • Grease the heart-shaped molds with butter.
  • Combine brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, and 1 egg in a bowl and beat until smooth and well combined.
  • Fill the heart molds with the batter.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Mix in 1 egg until smooth. The mixture should be noticeably lighter in color.
  • Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture into each heart mold and gently swirl with a knife to create decorative patterns of cream cheese in the brownie batter.
  • Place in the hot oven for 25 minutes.
  • As the brownies bake, melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl by heating in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and melted.
  • Blend the heavy cream into the chocolate until smooth. The texture may appear clumpy, which is normal.
  • Take the hearts out of the oven and promptly top each one with approximately 1 tablespoon of chocolate mixture.
  • Place the hearts back in the oven until the chocolate topping melts and spreads, approximately 5 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
