Brownie pops: fun and irresistible treat for kids!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Original Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box for cakelike brownies
  • 15 craft sticks (flat wooden sticks with rounded ends)
  • 1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons shortening
  • Assorted Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors candy sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Line a 9-inch square pan with foil, leaving some to hang over the edges. Grease the foil with shortening or cooking spray. Follow the instructions on the box for cakelike brownies. Allow the brownies to cool completely on a rack for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Freeze the brownies for 30 minutes until firm. Use foil to easily lift the brownies from the pan, peel away the foil, and cut them into 15 rectangular pieces (5 rows by 3 rows). Carefully insert a craft stick into the end of each brownie. Place them on a large cookie sheet and freeze for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Place chocolate chips and shortening in a small microwavable bowl. Microwave on High for about 1 minute until melted and smooth, stirring well. If needed, microwave in additional 5-second increments. Dip the top one-third to half of each brownie into the chocolate, then sprinkle with candy sprinkles. Place on waxed paper or foil, and let them sit for about 1 hour until the chocolate sets.
