Cajun Spiced Pork Burger ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen stir-fry bell peppers and onions (from 1-pound bag)
  • 1 medium stalk celery, sliced (1/2 cup)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 4 sandwich buns
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Sauté the frozen bell pepper mixture and celery for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender. Stir in parsley, then transfer the mixture out of the skillet and cover to keep warm.
  • Combine the pork, chili sauce, garlic salt, thyme, and red pepper in a bowl. Shape the mixture into 4 oval patties that are 1/2 inch thick. Cook the patties in a hot skillet over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping once, until they are no longer pink in the center.
  • Arrange buns, cut sides up, on a non-stick baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes until golden. Top the buns with patties and vegetables before serving.
