Delicious and simple homemade rice pudding recipe loved by all, especially me!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup uncooked short-grain white rice
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon maple flavored extract
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, bring rice and water to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes until water is absorbed.
  • Combine 1 3/4 cups of milk with sugar and maple flavoring in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes until thick and creamy. Add the remaining milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and butter. Cook and stir over low heat for another 5 minutes. Transfer to a casserole dish or serving bowls, let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or cold.
