Buttery brown sugar glazed candied carrots - tender and colorful crowd-pleasing side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, diced
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Cook the carrots in a pot of salted boiling water until tender but not mushy, about 15 minutes. Drain and return them to the pot.
  • Gently heat the pot with carrots on the lowest setting. Add brown sugar, butter, salt, and pepper. Let it cook until the sugar becomes bubbly, for about 3 to 5 minutes. Serve hot.
