Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 (5 ounce) milk chocolate candy bar, chopped
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped peppermint candy canes
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and peppermint extracts. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt; fold into the butter mixture until fully incorporated. Gently fold in chocolate chunks and chopped candy cane. Shape spoonfuls of dough into balls and arrange 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
