Peppermint fudge steals the show with its soft, sweet, and easy-to-make perfection for your holiday tray.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bag (12 oz) white vanilla baking chips (2 cups)
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Betty Crocker™ red gel food color
  • 3 (6-inch) peppermint candy canes, unwrapped, coarsely crushed (about 1/4 cup)
Instructions:
  • Line an 8-inch square pan with foil, ensuring the foil extends over the edges on two sides, then coat the foil with cooking spray.
  • Place white vanilla baking chips in a large microwavable bowl and microwave on High for 1 minute. Spoon frosting over the melted chips and microwave uncovered on High for 30 seconds. Stir the mixture and microwave in 15-second increments until smooth. Finally, mix in peppermint extract.
  • Transfer 1/2 cup of the delicious fudge mixture to a small bowl and create a beautiful red hue by mixing in food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
  • Spread the untinted fudge mixture evenly in a pan. Spoon heaping tablespoons of the red fudge mixture in a random pattern over the untinted mixture. Use a table knife to create a marbled design by pulling it through the layers. Sprinkle crushed candies on top. Refrigerate the pan uncovered until the fudge is set, approximately 1 hour.
  • Lift the foil to remove from the pan, then peel it away. Cut into 8 rows by 8 rows using a sharp knife and clean the blade after each cut. Store covered in the refrigerator.
