Candy Cane Planter

Create a festive holiday planter using candy canes and a regular food can.
Ingredients:
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • 40 individually wrapped candy canes, 6 inches long
  • 1 empty food can, from tomatoes or fruit (28 to 29 ounces)
Instructions:
  • Using a hot-glue gun, carefully apply a line of glue along the back of one candy cane (still in its wrapper). Press the candy cane onto the can so that the hooked end is at the top and curves away from the can.
  • Continue the process with the rest of the candy canes until the entire side of the can is covered.
  • Decorate gift with a 4-inch potted plant like Norfolk Island pine, poinsettia, rosemary, ivy, or Christmas cactus.
