Indulgent ricotta filling with chocolate, amaretto, and toasted almonds, stuffed into cannoli shells.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 pint part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 0.5 cup blanched slivered almonds
  • 0.33333334326744 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon amaretto liqueur
  • 12 cannoli shells
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 12 maraschino cherries
Instructions:
  • Combine ricotta cheese and 1 cup of confectioners sugar in a large bowl. Mix in almonds, chocolate chips, and almond liqueur.
  • Gently fill cannoli shells from the center out using a spoon or pastry bag.
  • Dust serving plates with powdered sugar and cocoa, or sprinkle over cannoli. Top with cherries for garnish.
