Easy and delicious blueberry grunt recipe. Serve hot with whipped cream on top.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1.5 cups white sugar, divided
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Place a layer of blueberries at the base of a casserole dish and generously sprinkle 1 cup of sugar on top.
  • Beat the shortening, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, and egg until creamy. Mix in milk, flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Spoon the batter over the blueberries.
  • Bake until beautifully golden brown in the preheated oven for around 30 minutes.
