Grilled bread with classic Caprese toppings - a simple and flavorful appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, or to taste
  • 0.5 French baguette, halved lengthwise
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 (8 ounce) package mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 sprig fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Prepare the grill by preheating it to low heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Drizzle baguette halves with olive oil, sprinkle on minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Layer on tomato slices and season with salt, pepper, dried parsley, and dried basil. Finish with a generous topping of mozzarella cheese.
  • Lay baguette halves on foil and grill until cheese is gooey, for about 5 to 8 minutes. Top with fresh basil and parsley, slice, and enjoy!
