Moist muffins topped with indulgent caramel sauce for a delectable dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 100g caramel-filled chocolate block
  • 500.00 ml plain flour
  • 10.00 gm baking powder
  • 90.00 gm brown sugar
  • 257.50 gm milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 80g butter, melted
  • 100g butter, chopped
  • 118.80 gm brown sugar
  • 300ml sour cream
Instructions:
  • Chill chocolate in freezer until frozen. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a non-stick 12-hole, 1/3 cup muffin pan. Sift flour and baking powder into a large bowl, add sugar, and mix well to combine, creating a well in the center.
  • In a jug, mix together milk, egg, and butter, then pour into the well. Stir with a large metal spoon just until combined. Fold in chopped frozen chocolate and fill muffin holes three-quarters full with the batter.
  • Bake the muffins for 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 1 minute before gently transferring them to plates.
  • Create delicious caramel sauce by combining butter and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir for 3 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Take the pan off the heat and whisk in sour cream. Place the pan back on the heat and stir for another 3 minutes until the sauce is heated through (be careful not to boil).
  • Enjoy your freshly baked muffins alongside a warm sauce.
