Indulge in a guilt-free treat: cinnamon fried bread paired with luxurious vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 2 round white bread rolls
  • 10.00 gm polyunsaturated salt reduced spread (Becel brand)
  • 7.50 gm ground cinnamon
  • 60g (1/4 cup) caster sugar
  • 3 145ml tubs caramel
  • dream ice-cream (Weight Watchers brand)
Instructions:
  • 1. Use a serrated knife to trim the ends off the bread rolls, then cut them in half horizontally. 2. Spread the spread on both cut sides of the bread. 3. Mix cinnamon and sugar on a large plate, then press each side of the bread into the mixture until coated.
  • Preheat a large non-stick frying pan over high heat, then cook the bread slices for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn golden brown.
  • To present, place a slice of cinnamon bread on each plate and generously top with 3/4 of a tub of ice cream.
