Transform sweetened condensed milk into decadent dulce de leche effortlessly in a slow cooker.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions:
  • Peel label off condensed milk can. Submerge unopened can in 3 1/2- to 4 1/2-quart slow cooker, ensuring it is fully immersed in water. Cover slow cooker with lid.
  • Cook the can on High for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours, ensuring that it is always submerged in water. Use tongs to remove the hot can; let it cool for at least 25 minutes until safe to handle. Avoid opening the can while hot to prevent any hot dulce de leche from spilling out due to built-up pressure.
  • Empty the can into a covered bowl and mix in the vanilla extract.
