Indulgent sticky buns with pecans, cinnamon, and gooey sweetness.
Ingredients:
  • Prepared wheat bread dough
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup light corn syrup
  • 1.25 cups chopped pecans
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons White Lily® All Purpose Wheat Flour
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Prepare the bread dough as directed in the recipe. Transfer to a large greased bowl, cover, and allow to double in size in a warm place for 30 to 45 minutes (refer to Note).
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup of butter. Add 1 cup of brown sugar and corn syrup, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Spread the mixture evenly in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan and sprinkle with pecans.
  • Prepare the Cinnamon Filling by combining 3/4 cup of brown sugar, 6 tablespoons of butter, flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl, blending them with a fork. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a 16 x 10-inch rectangle. Sprinkle the filling mixture evenly over the dough. Roll up the dough tightly from the long side, sealing the seam. Slice the roll into 15 even pieces and place them cut side down in the pan. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and allow to rise in a warm place (80-90 degrees F) for 30 to 45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake buns until golden brown, about 30-35 minutes. Let them cool for 10 minutes to allow the caramel to thicken, then invert onto a serving plate. Serve warm or at room temperature.
