Caramel Pretzel Crunch Brownies

Indulgent fudgy brownies topped with gooey caramel, chocolate chips, toffee bits, and a salty pretzel twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs as called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 bag (14 oz) caramels, unwrapped
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 cup pretzels, coarsely crushed
  • 1/3 cup toffee bits
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark and nonstick pan) and grease a 13x9-inch pan.
  • Prepare the brownie batter following the instructions on the box by combining water, oil, and eggs. Mix in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips (setting aside the remaining 1/2 cup). Spread the batter into a pan and bake for 24 to 28 minutes until a toothpick inserted 1 inch from the edge comes out almost clean. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before enjoying.
  • In a medium microwaveable bowl, heat caramels, butter, and milk uncovered on High for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring once, until caramels are melted. Pour carefully over warm brownies and then sprinkle with pretzels, remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, and toffee bits. Allow to cool completely.
