Indulgent caramel brownies with a salty-sweet twist inspired by a peanut butter pretzel candy bar. Perfect balance of crunch and chocolate decadence.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (18.4 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Salted Caramel Brownie Mix
  • Water, oil and egg called for on brownie box
  • 1/2 cup mini pretzel twists, broken in half
  • 1/3 cup coarsely chopped cocktail peanuts
  • 1/2 cup Rolo® Minis unwrapped mini chewy caramels in milk chocolate (from 8-oz bag), halved
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8-inch square pan with nonstick foil, allowing some to hang over the sides for easy removal.
  • Prepare brownie batter following the instructions on the box and spread it in a pan. Soften the salted caramel pouch by squeezing it for 10 seconds, then cut a 1/4-inch tip from the corner of the pouch. Squeeze the caramel onto the brownie batter in 4 straight lines. Use a knife to create a design by pulling through the caramel and batter in 4 straight lines, alternating directions. Evenly place pretzels on top of the batter and sprinkle cocktail peanuts over the top.
  • Bake for 35 to 38 minutes until edges and tops are set and a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side of the pan comes out almost clean. Allow it to cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then sprinkle the top with Rolo™ pieces. Let it cool for another 1 1/2 hours before cutting.
