Irresistible holiday churro Chex mix with caramels will charm your guests with its perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 3.5 cups crispy rice cereal squares (such as Rice Chex®)
  • 3.5 cups bite-size corn square cereal (such as Corn Chex®)
  • 1 cup halved pretzel sticks
  • 0.5 cup honey roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup caramels, each unwrapped and cut into 4 pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a gentle 275 degrees F (135 degrees C) and generously line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together rice and corn cereal squares, pretzels, and peanuts until evenly combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together butter, brown sugar, and vanilla. Drizzle the mixture over the cereal mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  • Combine white sugar and cinnamon, then generously sprinkle over cereal mixture, ensuring everything is well coated. Transfer the mixture to a baking sheet, spreading it out in an even layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, gently stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool for 15 to 20 minutes, then mix in caramels and store in an airtight container.
