Indulge in homemade candy bars, skipping the store-bought wrappers.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 15 Reese's peanut butter cups miniatures, coarsely chopped
  • 36 caramels (from 14-oz bag), unwrapped
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
  • 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously coat a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. Combine cookie mix, butter, and egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Gently mix in candies, then press the dough into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, melt caramels and milk over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Add peanut butter, bring to a boil, and cook for 2 minutes while stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, mix in 1/2 cup peanuts, and spread over the warm cookie base. Let it cool completely for about 2 hours.
  • Evenly spread frosting over the filling and sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours or until cold. When ready, cut into 9 rows by 4 rows to make bars. Keep stored in the refrigerator covered.
