Salty-sweet Jatz biscuit bark with Caramilk, mini M&M's, and festive sprinkles is a delightful edible Christmas gift.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 x 225g box crackers
  • 270.00 gm brown sugar
  • 185g butter, chopped
  • 2.40 gm sea salt
  • 2 x 180g blocks Caramilk chocolate, melted
  • 100g dark chocolate, melted
  • 2 x 20g packets giant chocolate stars
  • Green and red mini m&m’s, to decorate
  • Mint flavoured m&m’s, to decorate
  • Glamour and sparkle sprinkles, to decorate
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan-forced. Grease a 1.5cm-deep, 24cm x 33.5cm baking tray and line it with baking paper, ensuring the paper extends 2cm above the edges of the tray.
  • Layer the crackers neatly on the bottom of the tray, cutting them as needed to ensure a perfect fit with no gaps.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter, and salt. Stir continuously for 5 to 6 minutes until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Increase heat to bring it to a boil, then continue stirring for another 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
  • Pour the mixture over the crackers evenly and gently. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes until it bubbles. Remove from the oven and let it stand for 2 minutes. Drizzle with melted Caramilk, spreading gently and evenly. Allow it to cool for 15 minutes, then refrigerate for 10 minutes until the Caramilk sets.
  • Drizzle melted dark chocolate over the top of the bark. Add chocolate stars, M&M's, and sprinkles for decoration. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour until set. Remove the bark from the pan and slice into pieces using a warm, sharp knife. Serve and enjoy!
