Cardamom, Currant, and Cashew Bread

Holiday spiced bread: Crusty outside, moist inside, great for gatherings or gifting.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons light olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 0.5 cup chopped cashews
  • 0.5 cup currants
Instructions:
  • In the bread machine, layer warm milk, oil, maple syrup, bread flour, cardamom, salt, and yeast. Choose Basic cycle. When prompted, toss in currants and cashews. Once the cycle ends, typically after 3 1/2 hours, retrieve the freshly baked loaf.
