Tender carrots coated in a mouthwatering buttery orange-ginger sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, bring lightly salted water to a gentle boil. Cook carrots until just tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and transfer to a serving dish to keep warm.
  • In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, salt, and ginger until well mixed. Heat over medium, pour in orange juice while whisking. Simmer and whisk until sauce thickens, approximately 3 minutes. Add butter and stir until smooth. Pour over carrots, mix well, and enjoy.
