Chai Tea Eggnog Cookies

Buttery chai-infused sugar cookies with cinnamon-sugar coating, topped with eggnog buttercream for a festive holiday treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tea bag chai tea
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup eggnog (do not use canned)
  • Cinnamon-sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Place parchment paper on cookie sheets. Take out tea leaves from tea bag and discard the bag.
  • Combine tea leaves, cookie mix, butter, egg, and 2 tablespoons of eggnog in a large bowl until thoroughly mixed.
  • Spoon tablespoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Gently flatten dough with the bottom of a glass dipped in cinnamon-sugar.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. Let cool for 1 minute, then transfer to cooling racks. Cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Combine powdered sugar, nutmeg, and 2 tablespoons of eggnog in a small bowl until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies and allow it to set.
