Chai tea inspired cookies with a cozy spice blend and a dusting of powdered sugar.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar in a large bowl, mixing with an electric mixer on low speed until smooth. Add the rest of the cookie ingredients and stir until combined.
  • Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly golden. Transfer cookies from sheets to a rack; let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Combine coating ingredients in a medium bowl. Gently roll warm cookies in the coating mixture, working in batches. Allow the cookies to cool on a cooling rack for 5 minutes, then roll them in the mixture again.
