Sriracha garlic butter chargrilled oysters with Parmesan - a delicious twist on a classic appetizer!
Ingredients:
  • 18 fresh oysters in shells
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1.5 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and arrange the oysters in a baking pan, flat-side up.
  • Combine butter, sriracha sauce, garlic, green onions, cilantro, and lime juice in a bowl and mix until well blended.
  • Place the oysters in the oven and bake until they just begin to open, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Carefully detach the top shell of the oysters using a towel and an oyster knife, ensuring not to spill the flavorful liquor. Gently slice through the muscles connecting the oysters to the shell.
  • Spoon the butter mixture onto each oyster, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Position the oven rack 6 inches below the broiler and preheat the broiler.
  • Place oysters under the broiler until butter is melted and Parmesan cheese is golden brown, approximately 5 minutes.
